Let's Get Started

It looks nice in the box.  It'll look even better on the wall.  Let's get your eSee Digital Acuity Chart set up.  It won't take long.

Packing list:

  1. All-in-one eSee Acuity Chart

  2. Wall mount hardware and instructions

  3. Remote control - the remote ships with a protective plastic coating around the buttons.  If you notice bubbles, you are free to remove the plastic.  You are also free to leave it as is.  It won't hurt anything!

Mount it.

A minimum of 6 feet between the patient and chart is necessary. If this cannot be achieved directly, a mirrored view is required.

For direct viewing, the chart should be at patient eye level.

For mirrored viewing, the mirror should be at patient eye level, and the chart should be above patient eye level to minimize practitioner obstruction.

Ideally, the chart should be placed within 3 feet of an electrical outlet.

Calibrate it.

When you plug it in for the first time, the chart will boot to the Settings screen.  Choose your calibration distance and whether or not the chart is mirrored.  Don't worry - if you have to change something later, you can always get back to the Settings screen using the menu.

Use it.

You're done.  Easy, right?  If you told someone it was going to take awhile, celebrate with a cold beverage.  We won't tell.

Odds are good you didn't even read this far - you're already playing with the chart, aren't you?  That's ok.  If you ever need help, we're here for you.  To access our online documentation, just click the button below that matches your chart's version number.  You can see the version number when the chart boots, or you can find it by choosing the About menu option.
